Arlington, TX, August 26, 2025 - Higher Education Servicing Corporation (HESC), a leading nonprofit provider of private student and parent loans for Texas residents, announced today the launch of its Texas Extra Credit (TEC) Refinance Loan Program.
As a trusted provider of low-cost education loans since 1978, HESC is now offering student and parent borrowers the opportunity to refinance their qualified higher education loan debt into an affordable, fixed rate refinance loan – with rates ranging from 3.95% (with Auto Pay discount) - 9.16% APR. The TEC Refinance Loan Program provides borrowers with zero application, origination or disbursement fees, the ability to check their interest rate eligibility within minutes without affecting their credit, three repayment terms, generous borrower benefits and the ability to refinance from $7,500 to $200,000 in qualified higher education loan debt.
